The Fate of the Furious trailer: Vin Diesel and The Rock face off in crazy first look at Fast and Furious 8
Vin Diesel and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson are back in the first action-packed trailer for the eighth instalment of the Fast and Furious franchise.
The Fate of the Furious, which is the first film that doesn’t feature the late Paul Walker, sees that pair face off in what appears to be the most action-packed film yet.
Moving on yet again from simple street racing, the brand new film sees the crew driving snowmobiles and tanks on the ice as all of the action steps up a notch.
Explosions, car chases, a submarine and one huge prison fight scene also feature in the new trailer, which sees the feud between the two main characters escalate.
While Walker sadly passed away back in 2013, the rest of the cast including Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris and Jason Statham all return.
New additions to the cast include Oscar-winner Charlize Theron who makes her debut as new villain Cypher, Helen Mirren and Scott Eastwood.
“Now that Dom and Letty are on their honeymoon and Brian and Mia have retired from the game—and the rest of the crew has been exonerated—the globetrotting team has found a semblance of a normal life,” Universal’s synopsis reads.
“But when a mysterious woman (Oscar® winner Charlize Theron) seduces Dom into the world of crime he can’t seem to escape and a betrayal of those closest to him, they will face trials that will test them as never before.”
Directed by Straight Outta Compton’s F. Gary Gray, the eight film in the franchise is expected to hit cinemas on April 14, 2017.
