Our beautiful spiral patterns will be completely distorted, and in there gas clouds will collide, sticking together like two hard marshmallows. Where they stick, stars are born. We have a black hole in the center of our galaxy, and so does Andromeda. Those black holes will one day find one another and collide. Such is the fate of the Milky Way system.
