Former head of Alabama school surrenders on theft charges
Bauer is accused of multiple counts of theft and forgery charges related to the now-closed Ashford Academy, where he used to work as headmaster.
The school's last chairman has said Bauer was supposed to be paying the school's debt with money gathered from board members, but suspicions were raised when board members started getting delinquent notices.
