Trump's average favorable rating in live interview polls conducted over the last week is just 38%; his average unfavorable rating is 49%.
This net favorability rating of -11% points is the lowest for any president at the time of his inauguration in at least 40 years.
Every president before Trump entered his term with a net-positive favorable rating.
From the table below, it shows every president’s favorable and unfavorable rating since Jimmy Carter took the oath of office in 1977, according to an average of polls conducted within a week of the inauguration.
