Will Briante Weber make his Golden State debut?
The Warriors waived Anderson Varejao on Friday to clear room for Weber, who is fresh off a Development League Player of the Month award.
A defensive specialist who has played seven career NBA games — all last season — with Memphis and Miami, Weber offers Golden State a third point guard behind Stephen Curry and Patrick McCaw.
Weber is on a 10-day contract, but he’ll have an opportunity to stick around through the playoffs.
Head coach Steve Kerr isn’t going to overhaul his rotation just to ensure Weber gets in, however.
Golden State will send a wave of double-teams at Cousins, who was recently selected for his third career All-Star Game.
Draymond Green, who missed Thursday’s win over the Clippers with a left shoulder contusion, is back in the lineup.
Golden State, which owns the NBA’s fifth-best rebounding rate, is 26-0 this season when it corrals more rebounds than its opponent.
Even without three frontcourt players from their rotation Thursday, the Warriors outrebounded the Clippers 46-37.
