It’s a lie, I’ve NEVER called Obasanjo an ingrate – Fani Kayode replies ex – militant group

- A former militant group, National Coaltion of Niger Delta Ex-Agitators, claimed in a report that the former minister had called Obasanjo an ingrate
- While denying the allegation, he also said he will never serve in President Buhari's government
Chief Femi Fani-Kayode on Thursday denied claim by a former militant group which said in a report that he called Chief Olusegun Obasanjo who brought him to political limelight an ingrate.
The former militant group, National Coalition of Niger Delta Ex-Agitators, on Wednesday, threw caution to the wind and went wild against Fani-Kayode, who was the former minister of aviation and former President Jonathan’s media director during the 2015 presidential battle.
The group, led by one Israel Akpodoro in the Niger Delta, raised allegations Fani- Kayode for his vituperations against the president who the ex-militant group is supporting to the core.

The group said Fani-Kayode called Olusegun Obasanjo an ingrate for not supporting the presidential ambition of Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.
It also alleged that Fani-Kayode’s underlying reason for his actions against Buhari was to get appointment from President Buhari’s cabinet, alleging that that was how he did to secure the media director’s office during Godluck Jonathan’s campaign for 2015 presidency.
But Femi Fani-Kayode in a swift response said he had never called former President Olusegun Obasanjo an ingrate, describing the allegation as false.
Speaking through his Special Adviser on Media, Jude Ndukwe, Fani-Kayode described the ex-militant group making such allegation as faceless and should not be given attention.

He also said that he has never and will never be part of President Muhammadu Buhari’s government.
According to Ndukwe: “Chief Fani-Kayode has NEVER said that Obasanjo is an ingrate. We do not respond or join issues with faceless groups.
“The former minister has said it countless times that he would rather die one million times than be part of Buhari's government.”
