Xenophobia: Nigeria responds, sends 7-man delegation to South Africa (SEE LIST)
The Nigerian government has responded to the Xenophobia attacks against Nigerians in South Africa. The attacks which began once again after a period of relative peace have caused outrage in the international community.
The Senate
On Wednesday, March 1, the Senate released names of a 7-man delegation to South Africa to investigate the ongoing xenophobic attacks in the country. Senator Bukola Saraki, made the announcement during the plenary on Wednesday.
Below is the list of the members of the delegation:
1. Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu
2. Leader of the Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan
3. The Chief Whip, Senator Sola Adeyeye
4. Deputy Chairman, Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Senator Shehu Sani
5. Senator Stella Oduah,
6. Senator Magnus Abe
7. Senator Shaba Lafiaji

Meanwhile, a Nigerian man spoke with NAIJ.com and revealed that the impression most people have about the xenophobic attacks is that Nigerians are being killed and wounded at every corner.
