Poll: Key items applauded despite lackluster budget ratings
ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — New York voters say they are uninspired with the state's new budget overall, but are optimistic about headline items promoted by lawmakers and Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
More than two-thirds of respondents say specific initiatives like a $2.5 billion water infrastructure fund, allowing ride-hailing services to operate upstate, and free college tuition for middle class families will improve New York.
