Another 3-storey building collapses in Lagos Island
- The structure was still under construction when it collapsed
- There are no reports of casualties yet
- The collapse occurred on Monday morning on Nigeria's Democracy Day
Reports reaching NAIJ.com are that another building has collapsed in Lagos state just days after three people died in a collapsed structure.
According to the reports, the incident on Monday, May 29 occurred at Daddy Ajala street at Oke Arin area of Lagos Island.
The building, a 3-storey structure was still under construction when it crumbled.
NAIJ.com reported days back that another three-storey building which was under construction collapsed in Lagos.
The building collapsed on Abimbola street in Ilasa area of the state at around 2pm on Thursday, May 18.
NAIJ.com learnt that three people died while 19 were injured in the unfortunate incident.
The general manager of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Adesina Tiamiyu confirmed that: “Three persons were recovered dead and were taken to Lagos Mainland Mortuary Yaba.”
The injured, according to him, were taken to Isolo General Hospital.
