The month of Ramadan presents an opportunity for Muslims all over the world to get closer to Allah and reap the benefits that he has promised are associated with the holy month.
From dawn to dusk, Muslims are expected to abstain from eating and drinking as proscribed by Allah while sexual intercourse with one’s spouse is only allowed after the break of fast and before Sahur.
During this period, Muslims use the opportunity of the holy month to try and completely read the entire Quran as a form of worship, devotion and prayer.

What does Allah says about the Quran?
Allah in Surat Israa verse 88 says:
"If mankind and the jinn gathered in order to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like of it, even if they were to each other assistants."
Surat 95 verse 21 says:
"If We had sent down this Qur'an upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and coming apart from fear of Allah . And these examples We present to the people that perhaps they will give thought."
Surat 2 verse 185 says:
The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful.
Abdullah bin ‘Amr bin Al-‘As (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet said: “The one who was devoted to the Quran will be told on the Day of Resurrection: ‘Recite and ascend (in ranks) as you used to recite when you were in the world. Your rank will be at the last Ayah you recite.'” (Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi)
