Baking Eggs INSIDE Avocados Is Truly A Champion's Breakfast
Remember when avocado toast was the trend to eat at breakfast?
The next logical step, according to food host Brandi Milloy in the video below from PopSugar Food, is to get rid of the bread and put a bird on it (specifically, an egg).
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
Cut an avocado in half and toss the pit. Using a spoon, cut out a hole a little bigger than where the pit used to be, so an egg can bake inside of it without spilling out over the edges.
Break an egg into each avocado half, season with salt and pepper and pop into the oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Top with your favorite bacon bits, diced tomatoes or sauces.
