Serbian FM, Armenian ambassador discuss possible expansion of bilateral cooperation
ArmInfo. Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric discussed improving bilateral relations and developing cooperation between the two countries with Armenian Ambassador to Serbia Ashot Hovakimyan.
According to the Serbian Foreign Ministry's press service, Djuric emphasized that Serbia is committed to continuous political dialogue and regular exchanges of visits at various levels.
During the conversation, the possibility of strengthening economic cooperation in areas of mutual interest was discussed, emphasizing the importance of continuing it in a concrete and practical manner in the coming period.
The Serbian Foreign Minister stated that Serbia highly values Armenia's position on non-unilateral recognition of the declared independence of the so-called Kosovo, as well as its previous support for Serbia's efforts to preserve its sovereignty and territorial integrity. Serbia, he emphasized, supports US President Donald Trump's initiative, which encourages the peaceful resolution of disputes through economic cooperation, and welcomes Armenia's efforts to resolve outstanding issues in its region through dialogue.
Djuric expressed hope that Serbia and Armenia will continue to develop cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
