RA Ministry of Internal Affairs willing to expand IT cooperation with Kazakh counterparts

Following his visit to Astana and the meetings held, Armenian Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Armen Ghazaryan confirmed his readiness to deepen cooperation with Kazakhstan in exploring information technology (IT) practices and solutions and aligning them with the needs of the country's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
According to the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the willingness to implement Kazakhstan's experience was expressed during the visit of an Armenian MIA delegation led by Ghazaryan to Kazakhstan to study Kazakhstan's experience in crime recording and analysis.
During the visit, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs emphasized the importance of the experience gained and the IT solutions presented, emphasizing their potential for application within the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
During the visit, the Armenian delegation met with Kazakhstan's Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs (MIA), Aidar Saytbekov, to discuss digital projects. In addition, the delegation was introduced to video surveillance systems that use artificial intelligence tools for facial recognition.
The Armenian delegation, according to the Ministry, also visited the Operational Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, where they were presented with digital solutions used there. Representatives of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs also visited the Committee for Legal Statistics and Special Accounting of the Prosecutor General's Office of Kazakhstan, where they were shown two key digital projects for compiling crime and offense statistics: unified registers of pre-trial proceedings and administrative offenses. During the discussion, the delegation was introduced to the basic principles of obtaining, collecting, and compiling statistical data.
At the Center for Special Public Services, according to the source, the delegation was shown the main digital service platforms available to citizens, and at the office of Korkem Telecom, participants were introduced to security and video surveillance systems, smart cities, and telecommunications services. Kazaryan and his delegation also visited the office of Kaz Dream, a major Kazakh information technology holding company. During the visit, issues related to digital transformation using artificial intelligence tools, the use of software in law enforcement, and crime prevention were discussed.
