Armenia`s Cyber Police warns: Don`t take photos of objects for online clients
ArmInfo. The Armenian Cyber Police warns citizens against cooperating with suspicious online apps that offer money in exchange for taking photos of objects.
"Recently, various online platforms and mobile apps have become widespread, offering citizens small paid tasks: such as photographing specific places, objects, locations, streets, or answering suspicious questions," the statement reads. It is noted that while these assignments are often presented as "harmless" or "research," it is important to understand that some of them actually pose serious risks, including: potographing objects of national or strategic importance; collecting data on infrastructure, security systems, or locations; randomly photographing people, vehicles, or private areas. In most cases, the person performing the task is unaware of the true initiator, the purpose for which the data is being collected, and how it will be used in the future.
Therefore, it is recommended to: Refrain from completing assignments involving photography or data collection if their purpose is unclear or suspicious, Avoid photographing government, military, law enforcement, or any other infrastructure of strategic importance, Not allow a small payment to lure you into questionable activity.
