2026 Tata Punch Facelift Launched at Rs 5.59 Lakh – Turbo Power, Updated Design and New Features
Tata Motors has officially launched the 2026 Tata Punch facelift in India, starting at Rs 5.59 lakh ex showroom. This is the first proper update for the Punch since its launch, and it comes with changes that go far beyond looks. The Punch has always been known for being safe and practical and with this facelift, Tata is obviously trying to keep it fresh and ahead of the competition.
The new Punch now looks more modern, feels more premium inside and offers more choices in engines and features. For the buyers who are seeking a small SUV with a big value, this update is important.
Variants, Prices and Booking Details
The 2026 Tata Punch facelift is available in six variants.
- Smart
- Pure
- Pure Plus
- Adventure
- Accomplished
- Accomplished Plus
Prices start from Rs 5.59 Lakh and go up depending on the variant and powertrain. Bookings are now ongoing through Tata dealerships and deliveries are expected to begin soon.
The new Accomplished Plus variant replaces the older Creative trim and aligns the Punch with Tata’s larger SUVs in naming and positioning.
Exterior design updates
The facelifted Punch is clearly inspired by the Punch EV and newer Tata SUVs.
Up front, the LED lighting appears sharper and more premium. The bumpers have been redesigned with straighter lines, which give the car a cleaner and wider stance. While it does not receive a full width DRL strip, the overall look is more mature than before.
From the side, the Punch remains recognisable with its squared wheel arches and solid cladding. It continues with 16 Inch alloy wheels with a new design.
At the rear, the biggest change is the connected LED tail lamp strip. It replaces the older wraparound lamps and makes the Punch look closer to the Nexon and Harrier.
Key dimensions include a length of 3827 mm, wheelbase of 2445 mm, and ground clearance of 193 mm.
The Punch facelift will be available in six colour options including Coorg Clouds, Bengal Rouge, Pristine White, Caramel, Daytona Grey and Cyantific Blue.
Interior and cabin feel
Inside the layout is quiet familiar but many elements are new.
The highlight is the new 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment system with slimmer bezels. It supports wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay. The two spoke steering wheel is borrowed from newer Tata models.
Seats are redesigned and get dual tone upholsteries depending upon the variant. Front and rear armrests add comfort and the rear seat now provides improved under thigh support, which is useful for taller passengers.
Boot space stands at 366 litres. In the CNG version, it reduces to 210 litres.
Features on offer
Key features include
- 10.25 inches Touchscreen infotainment
- 7 inch digital driver display
- 360 degree camera
- Blind view monitor
- Wireless phone charger
- Single pane sunroof
- Auto dimming IRVM
- 6 speaker sound system
- Rear AC vents
- Cruise control
- Connected car technology
Some controls are now touch based, which may not suit everyone but the feature list is strong for the segment.
Safety is a strong point
Safety has always been the Punch’s greatest strength.
The facelift carries on with the 5 star safety rating and now has 6 airbags as standard across all variants. Other features include ESC, hill hold assist, TPMS, ISOFIX mounts, rain sensing wipers and auto headlamps.
Engine and gearbox options
The Punch facelift has three engine options.
- 1.2 litre petrol with 88 PS and 115 Nm
- 1.2 litre petrol CNG with 73.5 PS and 103 Nm
- 1.2 litre turbo petrol with 120 PS and 170 Nm
Gearbox options are 5 speed manual, 5 speed AMT and a 6 speed manual for the turbo petrol. Tata also offers an AMT with CNG, which is still rare in this segment.
Rivals and market position
The Tata Punch still competes with cars such as Hyundai Exter, Citroen C3 and Maruti Ignis. With the new turbo engine and feature upgrades, it also challenges the bigger options such as Maruti Fronx, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue.
Final word
With the 2026 facelift, Tata has ensured that the Punch remains relevant and desirable. It now looks fresher, more premium and has something for every kind of buyer. From safety oriented families to buyers looking for a peppy turbo engine, the new Punch covers all bases and strengthens its position as one of India’s most sensible small SUVs.
