NA deputy: Despite flattering compliments and promises of peace from Armenian and Azerbaijani authorities, Armenians continue to be held in Baku prisons
ArmInfo. Despite flattering compliments and promises of peace from Armenian and Azerbaijani authorities, Armenians continue to be held in Baku prisons, as noted by Tigran Abrahamyan, NA deputy from the opposition "With Honor" faction, on his Facebook page.
"Although officially there are 19 Armenians held there, human rights activists claim there are 70-80. Secondly, if new bridges of "love" are being formed between Azerbaijan and Armenia, then why are the last remaining Armenians in Artsakh applying to move to Armenia? If everything is so good, then why are some Armenians still in Azerbaijani prisons? Why are the Armenians who stayed there after the occupation of Artsakh being forced to leave their homeland? Why is the issue of the collective return of those forcibly displaced from Artsakh taboo for both the Armenian and Azerbaijani administrations?" the parliamentarian questions.
Recall that the day before, 11 Armenians who remained in Artsakh after its occupation by Azerbaijan were transferred to Armenia, according to their wishes.
