Livonia — If the old adage is that teams often learn more from defeats than victories, then the Livonia Stevenson girls basketball squad has had a couple of big lessons already this winter. Stevenson has two losses this season, but they have come against the top two-ranked Division 1 teams in the state, Belleville and Wayne Memorial, which are also league rivals in the Kensington Lakes Activities Association East Division. Stevenson lost, 74-45, to defending state champion Belleville on Jan. 13 and lost to Wayne Memorial, 55-40, this past Tuesday, a game that saw Stevenson jump out to a 17-point lead in the second quarter.
