The Chico State baseball team opened its season with a 9-1 loss at Jessup University on Friday in Rocklin. The Wildcats fell behind early, as the Warriors scored twice in the first inning and twice in the second inning on a pair of home runs by Tony Otis. Chico scored a run in the top of the fourth inning on a RBI single up the middle from Myles Walton. The Warriors added one run in the bottom of the sixth inning on a bases loaded walk, and four runs in the bottom of the seventh on a grand slam by Cody Antone.
