Why are food recalls on the rise?

A growing number of people are concerned about food safety after a series of recalls over food contamination. Pepperidge Farm voluntarily recalled more than three million packages of Goldfish crackers Tuesday over possible salmonella contamination. Mondelez International also issued a voluntary recall of 16 varieties of its Ritz cracker products because of the same concerns over salmonella. James Cameron is fighting to prevent auction of Titanic artifacts

A group of British museums have begun a multimillion dollar campaign to keep thousands of items salvaged from the Titanic from falling into private hands at a bankruptcy auction.
