Thomas Jefferson, architect

Thomas Jefferson is revered as America's third president, first secretary of state, and the main author of the Declaration of Independence. What's less well-known is his role as an architect who helped shape the look of early America. Severe Midwest weather blamed for at least 3 deaths

A fast-moving storm is bringing dangerous weather to more than 30 million Americans, and has already been blamed for at least three deaths in Louisiana. The storm system has dropped heavy rain and wind across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Missouri and Arkansas. Space X launch scrubbed, flight aims to test safety procedures

Space X is gearing up for a crucial test that could help send astronauts to space from U.S. soil for the first time in nearly a decade. The unmanned Dragon capsule will intentionally break off from the Falcon 9 rocket minutes after liftoff Sunday. The unmanned in-flight abort test aims to prove Space X can return astronauts to safety in the event of an emergency.
