Bei Bei panda cub makes public debut at National Zoo

Bei Bei the giant panda cub faced the media for the first time Wednesday at the National Zoo in Washington. The cub rolled around in front of cameras, but has not yet mastered walking. Zoo officials say he will soon start to scale the rocks and trees. Visitors to the National Zoo will be able to see Bei Bei at the Panda House starting in January.

Surrogate mom with triplets fights biological parents' abortion request

A California surrogate mother carrying triplets is refusing a request by the biological parents to abort one of the unborn babies. Brittneyrose Torres agreed to be a surrogate for a couple's two fertilized embryos. One of those embryos split, resulting in triplets. Flint, Michigan accused of ignoring lead-contaminated water

Flint is in a state of emergency, now months after high levels of lead turned up in its tap water. This week, more than 7,000 gallons of bottled water from FEMA arrived in the city.
