The Northeast is digging out from its first major winter storm of 2017. The powerful system quickly dumped large amounts of heavy snow. Schools across New England are closed for a second day, including those in Boston, Providence and Hartford. Hundreds more flights are canceled. Major cities were hit with a foot or more of snow.
