Cyprus tourism revenue hits €3.6bn — Israeli visitors highest daily spenders
Tourism revenue in Cyprus rose sharply in November 2025, with total receipts reaching €168 million, according to a report released on Thursday by the Cyprus Statistical Service (Cystat).
The increase represents a 21.1 per cent rise year-on-year, compared with €138.70m recorded in November 2024.
The figures were compiled through the passenger survey carried out by the statistical service, providing a detailed snapshot of tourism performance.
For the January-November 2025 period, tourism revenue is estimated at €3.6 billion, up from €3.12 billion in the corresponding period of 2024.
This translates into an annual increase of 15.3 per cent, highlighting the sector’s continued recovery and expansion.
Despite higher overall revenue, the average expenditure per tourist declined, reflecting changes in spending patterns.
Average spending per person in November 2025 stood at €716.00, down from €771.02 in November 2024.
This corresponds to a 7.10 per cent decrease in per capita expenditure, the Statistical Service data showed.
Tourists from the United Kingdom remained the largest market, accounting for 22.70 per cent of total arrivals in November 2025.
In addition, British visitors spent an average of €87.68 per day, according to the expenditure analysis.
Poland ranked as the second largest source market, representing 13.20 per cent of total tourists during the month.
Polish tourists recorded an average daily expenditure of €82.97.
Israel emerged as the third largest tourist market, accounting for 11.40 per cent of arrivals.
Visitors from Israel spent significantly more per day, with average daily expenditure reaching €168.90.
