DanceRite Celebrates 25 Magical Years
In December 2025, the DanceRite family came together for a Christmas celebration that was also something far more meaningful — our 25th Anniversary. What began all those years ago as a shared love of dance has grown into a community filled with friendship, support, laughter and countless memories, and this special evening felt like a perfect reflection of that journey.
From the moment the doors opened, the room sparkled — quite literally. Everyone had made such a wonderful effort to embrace the Holiday Glitz and Glam theme, arriving in sequins, sparkle, sharp tailoring and festive elegance. The room was full of colour, shimmer and smiles, instantly creating a celebratory atmosphere that felt both joyful and special. It was clear how much the evening meant to everyone simply by how they turned up.
A Dance School Built on Community
As Christmas music played and people arrived, there was a real sense of togetherness. Friends caught up, families gathered, and the dance floor began to fill with laughter even before the dancing officially started. DanceRite has never just been about steps and technique — it’s about people — and that feeling was present from the very start.
We began the evening with a few words of thanks, reflecting on how fortunate Vicki and I have been to share the last 25 years with such wonderful dancers, families and friends. Some have been with us almost from the beginning, others have joined along the way, but every single person has played a part in shaping what DanceRite is today.
Celebrating Our Dancers and Their Achievements
One of the most joyful moments of the evening came from our young dancers, who took to the floor with confidence, personality and huge smiles. From Addie’s lively Samba and Nathaniel’s cheeky Cha, to Calico’s expressive performance and Isla’s confident return to the Samba floor, they reminded us why nurturing the next generation of dancers is so important — and so rewarding. The applause they received said everything.
The evening flowed naturally into social dancing and the adult showcase, where the room once again came alive with energy, elegance and individuality. Each dancer brought their own story to the floor, reflecting the many different paths that lead people to dance. The medal presentation that followed was a proud and emotional moment, celebrating commitment, courage and personal achievement.
Midway through the evening, Vicki and I shared a short demonstration to Tightrope. It was simply our way of saying thank you — to the music, to the room, and to the people who have supported us over the years. The response was incredibly touching and something we will always treasure.
As the night continued, the floor filled once more with party dances, festive favourites and joyful celebration. For a while, it felt as though time stood still — just people dancing together, enjoying the moment.
25 Years of Dance — And the Journey Continues
As we said goodnight, we felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude. 25 years of DanceRite has given us far more than we could ever have imagined: friendships, shared triumphs, moments of pride, and a community that continues to inspire us every day.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. The past 25 years have been extraordinary — and the future feels just as exciting.
