Chinese firm Urbanus designed the Hakka Academy Longgang Twin Stars in Shenzhen, a complex made up of two schools for primary and secondary students.
Commenters shared their thoughts, with one saying "the vertical layering of open and recreational spaces is really special", while another asked, "Do schools still need to be built at this scale?"
Other stories in this week's newsletter included the winner of this year's 2026 RIBA Royal Gold Medal, a Scottish law requiring buildings to include swift bricks for nesting birds and the postponement of the 2029 edition of the winter games in Saudi Arabia.
