Eddie Murphy’s Daughters Stand Tall in Strappy Sandals on ‘Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F’ Red Carpet
Eddie Murphy was supported by his family at the star-studded Los Angeles premiere of “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F” on June 20. The actor’s daughters Bria Murphy, Shayne Audra Murphy and Bella Murphy were all in attendance, in addition to Murphy’s fiancée, actress Paige Butcher.
Murphy has starred as detective Axel Foley in the “Beverly Hills Cop” action-comedy franchise since the release of the first film in 1984. 30 years after “Beverly Hills Cop III,” Murphy reprises his role in the fourth film, set to release July 3 on Netflix. Held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, the premiere attracted Hollywood stars dressed in their best to celebrate the return of Murphy’s beloved character — from co-star Joseph Gordon-Levitt to fellow comedian Martin Lawrence.
Fashion wise, Murphy kept it simple in a pair of black pants, a navy blue shirt and a black jacket. He wore a pair of classic black lace-up loafers while his fiancée wore a strapless fitted red dress and black Gianvito Rossi Portofino sandals with a thick strap across the toes and another encircling the ankle.
Bria and Shayne Audra Murphy both wore spaghetti strap dresses in shades of turquoise with high heel sandals. To complement her green dress, the former wore a pair of black pumps with one thin strap across the toes and one around the ankle. She accessorized her footwear with a delicate gold anklet.
Meanwhile, Shayne Audra Murphy wore a similar style of shoe in a hue of light green. The heels featured a square-shaped toe and an accenting gold chain attached from the back of the shoe to the front strap in a V-shape.
Posing on the left of her father on the red carpet, Bella Murphy wore an A-line black dress with white tulle adding volume to the skirt and peeking out beneath the hem. Her dress included a sweetheart neckline with white trim and two thin straps.
To align with her outfit, she selected a unique pair of patent leather Mary Jane slingbacks. The black shoes included a short square heel, a strap around the ankle and one across the foot. The Mary Jane strap was enhanced with a silver chain link feature and a pearl detail where a traditional buckle would be.
Last year at the premiere of the Netflix comedy “You People,” Murphy and Butcher opted for the same color scheme, wearing all black outfits including sneakers and leather boots, respectively. They were also well-coordinated at the 2023 Golden Globes, when they again wore classic black ensembles. Over the years, Butcher has revealed her taste in footwear as she’s stepped out in a range of shoes from platform pumps to knee high boots.
