The production of the new “The Vietnam War"series,” premiering tonight on PBS, was a ten-year process involving hundreds of interviews, in the United States as well as in North and South Vietnam, and some eye-opening revelations on the part of the filmmakers, Ken Burns and Lynn Novick.
