The Cup season has largely been a snore. Ticket-buyers and television viewers have continued to tune out. The chairman and CEO got busted for DUI and took a leave of absence. And now NASCAR slams into the NFL. NASCAR needs something, or someone, to hang a happy hat on entering 2019.
