A new statement from Warner Bros. confirms that Mads Mikkelson will replace Johnny Depp in the Fantastic Beasts series, set in J. K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, after rumors emerged about the actor taking on the role of Dark Wizard Gellert Grindelwald.
