California Assemblyman Kevin Kiley (R) sent a December 28 letter to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R) and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D), urging them to not seat Alex Padilla if Governor Gavin Newsom moves forward with his appointment to replace Kamala Harris in the Senate.
