Dane Moore: Rudy Gobert when asked about the Wolves approach this season: “I can feel that we have a purpose. Personally, I came here to help this team win a championship. But last year it was kinda like a lot of adversity, we realized early on that it probably was not gonna be that year, but we could feel that we had the potential. And this year, from Day 1 of training camp, it was a different focus, different mindset. We learned, obviously, from everything that happened last year, and it made us grow. It made us grow as a team. And this year we have a purpose. We know why we’re here. We’re not here to just be first in the West, we’re not here to just have a good year, we’re here to try and win a championship and everyone’s is aware of it and everyone believes in it.”

Rudy Gobert adding a push shot this season I think hints at the possibility that he could also add a hook shot — like a condensed one would be great here, where it’s right up with a hook or drop step and a hook, something he can get to before needing that third pivot.

Mike Conley: “I think he’s not treated like a superstar because he doesn’t do the superstar things, offensively, that LeBron [James] and Steph [Curry] do. But he has the same impact on a game.
