Prithvi from Kundapur lost Rs 1.23 lakh to online fraudsters. He received a WhatsApp message promising a work-from-home job at Meesho. Initially, he earned small amounts, building trust. He then transferred Rs 92,880 from his account. His relatives also transferred Rs 30,125. Amasbail Police Station registered a case under IT Act and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
