Krotz Springs woman convicted for killing ex-husband
John Barker died shortly after getting shot. Margaret Barker’s sentence date is set for April 18, 2024 at 1 p.m.
ST. LANDRY PARISH, La. (KLFY)-- A Krotz Springs woman was convicted of 2nd degree murder of her ex-husband.
After investigating phone records, bullet trajectory and witnesses, it was determined 52-year-old Margaret Yvette Barker shot John Barker, her ex-husband, in his right flank five times on Sept. 6, 2021 on the front porch of her home in Krotz Springs., according to St. Landry Parish District Attorney Chad P. Pitre.
John Barker died shortly after getting shot. Margaret Barker’s sentence date is set for April 18, 2024 at 1 p.m.
