Investigation underway after inmate's death in Iberia Parish
IBERIA PARISH, La. (KLFY) -- The Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the death of an inmate that occurred at the Iberia Parish Jail on Saturday, Nov. 1.
According to authorities, the inmate, identified as James Moore, 49, of Tupelo, Mississippi, was found unresponsive in the shower area of the facility. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The incident is being investigated by the IPSO Bureau of Investigations.
