Hot and muggy with a chance for strong storms tonight
What We’re Tracking
- Hot and muggy today
- Strong storms tonight
- Drier air rolls in
Temperatures this morning are into the lower 70s. We are tracking a few isolated thunderstorms this morning, but that is not the main rain chance.
We'll have muggy air in place again this afternoon with the better chance for storms tonight as a cold front pushes south. These storms will be slow moving bringing the potential for locally heavy rainfall and flash flooding. Waking up early Monday morning a few storms could be lingering around, but the trend is to dry out Monday.
The change in wind direction in the wake of the cold front from south to northwest will usher in cooler temperatures and slightly less humidity for the beginning of the week. Many of us starting out in the upper 80s and mostly sunny to begin the week.
