Evening cold front brings a chance for severe storms
What We’re Tracking
- Few strong evening storms
- Cold front arrives
- Nice weekend
Storms have completely fallen apart as they moved into northeast Kansas this morning. The sky is still partly to mostly cloudy. Temperatures are still incredibly warm with lows in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
Another chance for storms arrives later on in the evening, ahead of an approaching cold front. A few scattered storms could become strong to severe, with gusty winds and small hail being the main threats. The strongest storms are expected east of highway 75.
Cooler and less humid air moves in by Saturday, offering some relief before the humidity starts to build again from the south later in the weekend.
