Sean Longstaff- Deal close
The popular local boy has been with his boyhood club since he was a kid and made his debut 7 years ago.
He has gone on to over 200 appearances for his boyhood club with around 150 starts.
He has also had a few loan spells with him shining in League 1 some years ago for Blackpool.
He is a relative of former Leeds United player David Thompson who is his father's cousin.
He is known as a hard working progressive passing midfielder most comfortable in a midfield 3 who has been praised for his selfless attitude.
He is also competent defensively.
Criticisms would be he is more a steady player than anyone whose going to really shine and for a Box to Box player he doesn't actually score or assist much.
However another advantage is he does qualify as a home grown player and he is a very experienced Premier League player which we haven't much of whose done an atleast solid job in his career
