Recognition: Quinnipiac University student Nicholas Sarran, of Fairfax, was inducted into the Physical Therapy Pro Bono National Honor Society. Founded in 2014, the society recognizes outstanding physical therapy students who provide pro bono services as part of their education.
Recognition: San Rafael author Mary Alice Stephens’ “Uncorked” won a PenCraft Award for motivational nonfiction.
Recognition: Kaylee-Ann “The Storm” Knight, of Sausalito, won Fight Culture’s Boxing Debut of the Year award for her professional boxing debut on Dec. 13 at the Stockton Memorial Civic Auditorium, a 5,000-seat venue in Stockton.
“It felt so good to be recognized and awarded for my debut,” Knight wrote on Instagram. “Thank you again to the entire team at Fight Culture and everyone involved with the event. NorCal/Bay Area stand up!”
