ACE train service cancelled after more mudslides at Niles Canyon
Two morning trains and four scheduled for the evening were cancelled.
The Altamont Corridor Express transit system cancelled its service for the day Wednesday, after another mudslide came down onto the tracks along Niles Canyon, the agency said.
The agency announced at 8:09 a.m. that they had cancelled the ACE 05 and 07 trains that were scheduled for Wednesday morning, and that trains 04, 06, 08 and 10 scheduled for the evening also would not run.

ACE did not offer any other information immediately. It was not clear how riders who had taken morning trains were supposed to get back to their original station.
The cancellations come a day after a mudslide on Niles Canyon stalled a westbound train. That train had 220 passengers. None of them or the crew were injured in the mudslide.
No injuries were reported in Wednesday’s mudslide.
