Saratoga crime report for the week of April 21
APRIL 4
DUI: At 11:45 p.m., deputies stopped a motorist at Saratoga and Kosich avenues for traffic violations. An investigation revealed the suspect was driving under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested and booked into main jail.
APRIL 7
Altered license plate, possession of burglary tools and stolen property, unlicensed driver: At 9:32 p.m., deputies stopped a motorist at Glen Brae and Via Real drives for an equipment violation. An investigation revealed the driver did not have a valid license, and the temporary license plate of the rental vehicle was altered. Further investigation revealed the driver and two passengers were in possession of possible burglary tools and stolen property. The driver was cited and released at the scene.
APRIL 9
Robbery, criminal threats, misappropriation of lost property: At 4:20 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance at the 76 gas station on Big Basin Way. An investigation revealed the suspect demanded cigarettes and made criminal threats toward an employee. The suspect stole the cigarettes and other merchandise for a loss of about $79. The suspect was located a short time later in possession of other misappropriated property and was arrested and booked into main jail.
