San Jose: Arrest made in connection to deadly July shooting
Police arrested 29-year-old Carlos Fuentes last week on suspicion of the July slaying of a 19-year-old man in North San Jose, according to authorities.
SAN JOSE — Police have arrested a man on suspicion of the July slaying of a 19-year-old man in North San Jose, authorities said Tuesday.
Carlos Fuentes, 29, of Santa Clara, was arrested on Oct. 3 on suspicion of killing 19-year-old Ramiro Fierros on July 2.
Fierros was shot and killed at around 4:06 a.m. on the 400 block of Queens Lane, near Old Bayshore Highway. After police identified Fuentes as the suspect, arrest and search warrants were issued, police said.
In a search of Fuentes’ Santa Clara home, police say they found a loaded firearm and drugs for sale. Fuentes is currently in custody at Santa Clara County Main Jail.
