Campbell sees rash of vehicle thefts, break-ins
Unlocked vehicles on Foreman, Union, Dry Creek and Cambrian ransacked.
Dec. 4
1:20 p.m. in the 100 block of Hollis Avenue: Someone broke into an apartment and took items.
7:35 p.m. at Camden Avenue and White Oaks Road: A passenger in a vehicle stopped for a vehicle code violation had a warrant for theft.
7:47 p.m. in the 800 block of Sobrato: A man, 29, grabbed the victim around the neck during an argument, pulled her hair and threatened to kill her with a knife.
9:20 p.m. in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone entered a store and stole purses.
11:38 p.m. at San Tomas Expressway and Payne Avenue: A man, 27, was stopped for a vehicle code violation and found to be DUI.
Dec. 5
9:54 a.m. on the Los Gatos Creek Trail behind the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue: A man, 40, was contacted during another investigation and had methamphetamine in his pocket.
2:35 p.m. in the 00 block of Cherry Lane: Someone called the victim claiming he was a Santa Cruz County sheriff’s deputy. He told the victim she had a warrant and demanded money. The victim did not send money.
9:16 p.m. at Bascom Avenue and Campisi Way: Two suspects were stopped for a vehicle code violation. During a search of the vehicle, methamphetamine, fentanyl, Xanax and heroin packaged for sales were located along with drug paraphernalia.
1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: Three suspects entered a store and took merchandise.
Dec. 6
Overnight in the 200 block of Harrison Avenue: Someone crawled through a hole in the fence on the north side of the yard and took four gas cans. The suspect has been seen before in the yard.
8:06 p.m. at Hamilton and Central avenues: During a fight with a man, 28, the victim was knocked out. When officers arrived, the man fled a short distance on a bike before being taken into custody. A record’s check revealed him to have a warrant out of San Jose for DUI.
11:14 p.m. in the 100 block of Amato Avenue: Someone broke into a vehicle via window smash and stole electronic devices.
2:04 a.m. in the 00 block of Kim Louise Drive: A man, 27, backed into a vehicle while parking and was found to be DUI.
Dec. 7
9:24 a.m. in the 400 block of Richfield Drive: A gray 1989 Toyota truck was stolen.
9:27 a.m. in the 300 block of Bedal Lane: A white 2015 Acura TLX was stolen.
9:48 a.m. in the 200 block of Superior Drive: A man, 58, was causing a disturbance and was found to be too intoxicated to care for himself. The suspect, who was a felon, was in possession of drug paraphernalia and ammunition.
9:58 a.m. in the 500 block of Railway Avenue: A man, 33, was attempting to steal packages and trying vehicle door handles. He was found to be under the influence of a stimulant and in possession of drug paraphernalia.
12:55 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: Three suspects entered a store and took items.
7:37 p.m. in the 200 block of Wilton Drive: A caller said a woman had been using narcotics due to a relapse and was caring for her two children.
12:48 a.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: A woman, 48, was contacted in a vehicle and was found to be in possession of methamphetamine pipe. She had multiple outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
3:15 p.m. in the 100 block of East Campbell Avenue: Someone called the victim and convinced her to transfer money from her bank account to their account.
1:44 a.m. at East Hamilton and South Bascom avenues: A driver, 24, was stopped for vehicle code violation and was found to be DUI.
1:30 a.m. at East Campbell and Union avenues: A driver was stopped for a vehicle code violation and found to be DUI of both drugs and alcohol. The suspect was in possession of cocaine.

Overnight in the 300 block of Budd Avenue: Someone forced entry into a vehicle and stole items.
Overnight in the 00 block of Railway Avenue: Someone forced entry into three vehicles and stole items.
Overnight in the 900 block of Hazel Avenue: Someone forced entry into a vehicle and stole items.
12:11 p.m. in the 200 block of Budd Avenue: A woman, 34, got into a man’s vehicle while he was driving then left. She was found to be under the influence of a stimulant.
1:32 p.m. at East Hamilton Avenue and South Winchester Boulevard: Someone brandished a black handgun at the victim during a road rage incident then fled the scene at a high rate of speed. The victim wanted prosecution.
8:54 p.m. in the 200 block of East Rincon Avenue: A woman, 50, and the victim were intoxicated and got into an argument. The woman slapped the victim in the face twice.
9:24 p.m. at South Winchester Boulevard and Latimer Avenue: A man, 23, was stopped for a vehicle code violation and was in possession of methamphetamine and a methamphetamine pipe. He had an outstanding warrant.
10:47 p.m. at East Campbell and Union avenues: A man was stopped for a vehicle code violation and was found to be DUI.
Dec. 9
Overnight in the 800 block of Old Orchard Road: A gray Honda Pilot was stolen.

8:56 a.m. in the 900 block of Lovell Avenue: The suspect, 31, was laying on the sidewalk and was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. They were in possession of fentanyl and drug paraphernalia.
10:51 a.m. at South Winchester Boulevard and East Campbell Avenue: A man, 36, was found to be too intoxicated to care for himself.
3:01 p.m. in the 2900 block of South Winchester Boulevard: A man, 31, was trespassing and was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He had two misdemeanor warrants.
9:31 p.m. in the 200 block of East Campbell Avenue: A man pushed the victim down to the ground during an argument then fled the scene.
10:44 p.m. in the 2300 block of South Winchester Boulevard: A man, 50, was throwing items at staff and refusing to leave. He was stopped and ran from the officer but was taken into custody.
12:39 a.m. at Camden and Union avenues: A man, 19, was stopped for a vehicle code violation and was found to be DUI.
2 a.m. at Marathon and Gale drives: A woman, 61, was stopped for a vehicle code violation and was found to be DUI.
2:27 at Grant Street and Harrison Avenue: A man, 51, was stopped for a vehicle code violation and was in possession of a methamphetamine pipe.
5:10 a.m. at South Winchester Boulevard and West Hacienda Avenue: A man, 41, was walking in the street toward vehicles. He lied about his name to conceal he had a warrant.
Dec. 10
6 a.m. at McGlincey and Foreman: Several unlocked vehicles were ransacked on Foreman, Union, Dry Creek and Cambrian Drive. Some victims did not answer their doors. Notes were left.
2:06 p.m. in the 1400 block of Abbott Avenue: A man, 51, threw a shoe at the victim, causing injury. The two met at the park the next day and got into an argument. The man stood on the hood of victim’s car and parked his car in front of hers to prevent her from leaving. A restraining order was granted.
8:11 p.m. at Civic Center Drive and Harrison Avenue: A man, 63, collided with a tree and city light pole.
12:56 a.m. at Hamilton Avenue and Creekside Way: A driver, 45, was stopped for a vehicle code violation and found to be DUI.
