Columbus police take to social media to find suspects
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- The Columbus Division of Police is reviving a social media campaign in an attempt to get some suspects off the streets.
For the first time since 2022, the department is posting several mugshots of suspects wanted for crimes ranging from robbery to felonious assault.
The campaign, under the name Operation Turn Up The Heat, posted eight mugshots Monday, saying it was Day 1 of the effort.
The photos posted by the department are below.
"Operation Turn Up the Heat returns this year in an effort to arrest suspects wanted for a range of violent crimes leading up to Red, White & BOOM!" the department posted.
