Axe throwing company holds grand opening for Grove City location

GROVE CITY, Ohio (WCMH) - An axe-throwing bar and lounge based out of Ohio is opening its newest location.

Dueling Axes is holding its grand opening on Friday at 3 p.m. at 3940 Broadway. The venue in Grove City first announced plans with the new expansion earlier this year, making renovations to the 6,000 square-foot facility. This new location is adding on to the company's other spots in Columbus, New Albany and Canal Winchester.

Along with axe throwing, the venue will feature a variety of activities including knife throwing, darts, shuffle board and cornhole. Visitors can also enjoy drinks from the venue's full service bar and a menu full of food and snacks.

Dueling Axes will also have 13 large format TVs, offering a "sports bar" experience for patrons. Reservations are not required and walk-ins are welcome, according to the company.

Dueling Axes will be open until midnight on its grand opening day. The venue's normal hours are Wednesday and Thursday from 4 to 11 p.m., Friday from 4 p.m. to midnight, Saturday from noon to midnight and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. Dueling Axes will be closed on Monday and Tuesday.
