'Keep Columbus Beautiful' teaches kids to turn trash into treasure
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- Kids at the Whitehall branch of the Columbus Public Library are turning trash into treasure.
"Keep Columbus Beautiful" taught them how to make art, namely "Cork Boats," out of garbage. They also learned how to properly sort trash into recycling and compost.
The ultimate goal of Friday's lesson is to teach kids that waste reduction and sustainability are things they can carry with them for their whole lives.
