Anthem, OhioHealth announce multi-year agreement
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and OhioHealth on Friday announced a new multi-year agreement.
The agreement continues "uninterrupted access" to OhioHealth facilities for Anthem members in all health plans.
"We're glad to continue our long-standing relationship with OhioHealth and to build on our efforts to advance value-based care that aligns payment to quality, not just quantity," Jane Peterson, president of Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield in Ohio, said in a statement.
"We're happy to have reached a new contract with Anthem, which ensures our patients can continue to receive the high-quality care they need without inturruption or uncertainty," OhioHealth Senior Vice President and Chief Population Health Officer Carrie Harris-Muller said in a statement.
Anyone with questions is asked to contact the Member Services number listed on the back of their Anthem ID cards.
The previous agreement was set to expire on Thursday, and was extended until Aug. 15 before the new agreement was reached on Friday.
