Ohio State will renovate a vacant space on the east side of Ohio Stadium to create the 1922 Club. The space will be an "exclusive, private club" within the stadium that requires a membership for access. The university said it will begin construction on the $16 million investment this fall.

According to design plans submitted to the Board of Trustees, OSU has been designing the club since January and plans should be completed by September. Construction is scheduled to start in October and move quickly so the 1922 Club is open by the 2026 football season.

On days when Ohio State is not playing, the space will become a members-only restaurant. The 1922 Club restaurant will be reservation-only and open from 3 p.m. to close from Tuesday to Saturday.

Ohio State is offering two membership options, each paid annually. Full membership is $4,500 per person each year and includes access to the restaurant and game day access to the club. For $1,000, people can purchase social membership, which allows access to the club but does not include game day access. Both are already available for purchase.

For full members, the club will open three hours before kickoff and continue to offer all-inclusive food, beer and wine until one hour after the game ends. Full members can stay longer than that and enjoy an a la carte menu. Game day attendees do not need a ticket, but the club does not have a view of the field. Instead, games will be streamed on televisions within Club 1922.

During games, anyone who enters the 1922 Club must present proof of full membership. However, guests can transfer membership on a game-by-game basis. All members are allowed to invite guests or host private events at the club when Ohio State is not playing.

"This private club is a testament to our commitment to fostering community, camaraderie and undying passion for the Buckeyes," Ohio State said.
