On the point regarding Sky dropping SL tv rights of course it could have a drastic consequence, same could be say for any tv deal with any sport.
Barring Wakey, every SL teams average attendance has gone up from previous years despite the inflation and cost of living etc. The reasons for that I don’t know but it it does bode well for the game.

OK, I wasn't Dave's biggest fan, I'll be honest, but with what I've seen this year, glad to see him back.
You have to wonder though, as a club who didn't have much money, hence the weak squad, where has the money come from.

King has been good but he’s a workhorse on what is believed to be superstar wages which makes the whole thing complicated. I’d like him to stay but the deal has to be right in a salary capped sport.

Couple of Wire fans on their board are saying King will be back with them as well. I still think it’s got a way to run yet but I’m pretty comfortable. He’s doing a good job for us but he certainly isn’t irreplaceable. If you had Keighran coming in, I don’t think that’s a downgrade and in goal kicking terms, it solves an issue. It’s just quota spots that are the problem.

Well we have to move on from a very frustrating summer bash to our game in France on saturday. There will be some changes from the bash with Kavanagh and fairbank missing and will we make a change in the halfs. There is some players who need a kick up the backside so selection will be interesting. Toulouse were very poor in their defeat to London but have been a lot stronger at home then away and need a win just like us. So rather than study strengths and weaknesses in the existing squad, have a good pre season we’ve managed to find a completely untried approach to the game.
