Police also searched company offices and homes of individuals linked to the case on Wednesday. The Paris prosecutor’s office says the inquiry that opened last year involves accusations of fraud, money laundering and forgery. Investigators are examining claims of illegal loans and overbilling to boost state aid provided to the party. No charges have been filed so far. Party leader Jordan Bardella criticized the raid.
