Three men are set to stand trial next year after a silver steward at the French president's residence was arrested for stealing silverware worth thousands of euros. The Élysée Palace's head steward reported the theft, with losses estimated between 15,000 and 40,000 euros. The Sèvres Manufactory identified missing items on auction sites. Investigators suspected a silver steward, finding items in his possession. He was linked to a company manager specializing in online sales. The two were arrested, and a third suspect was identified. The trial is due to take place Feb. 26. The defendants are free subject to judicial supervision.
